Because the chapel is made entirely of wood, it has a cozy and authentic look. You would sleep in a romantic double bed. The stained glass windows, the fireplace and the antique furniture make it all the more attractive. The cottage has central heating (which is why the accommodation can be booked all year round) and hot and cold running water. It is also furnished with a kettle, a filter coffee maker, a 2 burner stove, basic cooking utensils and crockery.
The chapel is within walking distance of the well-maintained sanitary building. There, you will be able to use the toilet and showers. In this room, you will also find a complete kitchen with an induction stove, a microwave, an oven, a dishwasher and a refrigerator for common use.
The church is therefore ideal for a unique and relaxing vacation, where you can experience the feeling of camping.
There is also a Sauna (wood fired) on the premises. It is possible to reserve it on the day of your arrival. The sauna can be rented per hour. Unfortunately, when it is already occupied there are no alternatives.
The church and the yard have an excellent location for anyone who is looking for peace, nature and / or culture during their vacation or weekend away. Go cycling and discover the many lovely villages in the area. Would you rather explore Friesland by boat? Then that is no problem. The landlord of this chapel has canoes and pedal boats for rent on site. Among other places, the village of Terherne is easily accessible by canoe. Would you rather spend a day shopping or visit a museum? Then you can go to the Frisian capital Leeuwarden.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting! The bed sleeps wonderfully and the fireplace was pleasant when we returned after a long walk. Especially the restaurant on Hatsum was a must to eat. Bit of a drive but absolutely worth it!
Heerlijk huisje in een prachtige omgeving! Het bed slaapt heerlijk en de haard was aangenaam toen we na een lange wandeling terugkwamen. Vooral het restaurant op Hatsum was een aanrader om te gaan eten. Stukje rijden maar absoluut de moeite waard!

Too bad though that the mentioned coffee maker was not there, so for coffee you have to go to the common room next door.

Jammer was wel dat het genoemde koffiezetapparaat niet aanwezig was, dus voor de koffie moet je naar de gezamenlijke ruimte ernaast.
